The landscapes gradually reveal themselves to the rhythm of a hiker’s walk. Once night falls, his headlamp draws the paths crossed or imagined on the canvas of his tent. Through the poetic power of light, this show brings onto the stage a A hiker prepares his campsite amid the branches. He puts up his tent and lights his campfire. In this moment of solitary rest, he plays with his shadow and those of the objects he handles. He makes changing images for himself and has fun with optical effects. A forest gradually appears on the theater stage, with its paths and inhabitants: an entire world joins the game and the story. Memories, traces and imagination then intertwine in a dreamed, traversed landscape that takes shape and draws us into a dialogue with the living world. On stage, the set comes alive through the magic of light. Plastic bags become mountains, a drop of water becomes a lake. Philippe Lefebvre and Julie Dumons have the gift of revealing wonder, offering us both contemplation and surprise. Before the hike, the exhibition Natures vives already immerses us in their language: light! These are anamorphic paintings whose image changes according to the angle from which they are lit.
