Festival Voix des SudsA famous popular saying goes: “Every Czech is a musician.” The programming of the Violins of Prague, which enchant Europe from east to west and north to south with the beauty of lyrical melodies performed by one of the Czech Republic’s most talented sopranos, certainly bears this out. If the “connoisseurs,” through inappropriate snobbery, disdain works that are “too well known,” the obvious reason is that these works touch the listener’s soul, amaze through their simple natural beauty, and deliver emotion that touches the heart, as Beethoven wrote at the beginning of his Missa Solemnis (1823), opus 123: “Music must come from the heart and go to the heart.” This concert, experienced and shared together, will recharge all those whom the tumultuous course of life ceaselessly buffets, through its delicate self-evidence. Human beings are made to contemplate the Beauty of the World, and this is precisely what the moving Violins of Prague will invite you to do! Soprano: Lucie Pražák Vagenknechtová Violin: Štěpán Pražák Cellist: Alžběta Vlčková
