Concert Before becoming a musician, JiJi was a multidisciplinary artist. Her lyrics began as poems collected in fanzines that she self-published. Wanting to share her words in a more sensitive and direct way, she borrowed her roommate’s guitar, strummed a little, and tried singing. It’s never polished, perfect, or melodious, but it’s sincere. Inspired by spoken word and anti-folk, her songs invite us to experience her vulnerability as something beautiful, powerful, and intoxicating.
