Deux œuvres de trois mètres de haut rose renoncule signées Guillaume Bottazzi

These two three-meter-high enamelled works were installed in 2022. They are located a stone’s throw from Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde in Marseille. Their fuchsia, buttercup pink, azalea and eglantine tones form part of a pomegranate-colored palette. They are made of enamel applied to tempered and laminated glass. Enamel is a natural material ground into powder and composed of various minerals: silica, which makes up 66% of the Earth’s crust; feldspars, which form the most abundant mineral group by volume in the Earth’s crust; kaolin, a common clay; metal oxides, extremely abundant on the Earth’s surface; titanium, the ninth most abundant element in the Earth’s crust and the fifth most abundant metal on Earth; copper carbonate, a copper compound, copper itself being relatively abundant in the Earth’s crust; iron oxide, one of the three main oxides of iron, abundant in nature, rocks and soils; manganese, which is the 12th most abundant element in the Earth’s crust (just after iron)… This site-specific commission involves a comprehensive approach incorporating various parameters specific to the place where the works are located. They create a dreamlike and enchanting space that evolves according to each person’s imagination. On the occasion of the 43rd edition of the European Heritage Days, painter [Guillaume Bottazzi](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillaume_Bottazzi), a pioneer of applied [neuroaesthetics](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuroesth%C3%A9tique), invites us to follow a monumental artistic trail comprising more than 90 heritage artworks that make us feel good. These works can be discovered throughout France, from Hauts-de-France to the Occitanie region, via the capital, Greater Paris, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. [Guillaume Bottazzi](https://guillaume.bottazzi.org) has created more than 180 heritage artworks intended to enhance heritage in Europe, the United States, China and Japan, commissioned by cities, museums and architects. They form part of the architectural heritage of the places where they are located. This initiative comes as the European Union and France have designated mental health as a “Great National Cause” for 2026. These site-specific works improve our quality of life. These poetic creations, based on knowledge from neurobiology, create an ecosystem that helps us live happier lives.
