Journée culturelle de la diaspora africaine

Organization of a cultural day dedicated to the African diaspora, with musical entertainment, food stalls, crafts, fashion, exhibitions, cultural discoveries and spaces for exchange, open free of charge to the general public. The Nouvelles Racines, Espoir et Rebond association, in collaboration with J.E.R.C. (Jeunesse Engagée pour le Renouveau et l'Épanouissement du Cameroun), is organizing a Cultural Day of the African Diaspora on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 09:00 to 23:00, on the Réformés Canebière esplanade in Marseille. This free-admission event aims to promote African cultural diversity, foster intercultural exchange and strengthen ties between Marseille residents, local associations and communities from the African diaspora. Throughout the day, the public will be able to discover: - African food stalls; - craft and creative exhibitors; - African fashion shows and exhibitions; - musical and artistic entertainment; - demonstrations of dances and cultural traditions; - workshops and activities for children and families; - spaces for meetings, dialogue and networking between associations, entrepreneurs and cultural stakeholders. The event is designed as a moment of sharing, discovery and awareness of the richness of African cultural heritage, in a spirit of conviviality, mutual respect and social cohesion. The organizers have planned measures to ensure the event runs smoothly, including supervision of exhibitors, compliance with safety standards, visitor-flow management, keeping the site clean and restoring the premises after the event. This day forms part of an approach promoting living together, social cohesion and the cultural and economic diversity of the city of Marseille.
