Around a table, two actresses embark on the story of the creation of the world. Through the inventiveness of object theater, Titans and Gods are summoned to revisit Greek cosmology with humor and poetry. This is the story of a woman named Gaia. She made the sky, the mountains and potato chips. Then there is the story of her son, a certain Cronus, who himself had some rather famous children. The show begins in nothingness and ends in a joyful fireworks display, closely resembling the creation of the universe. Throughout their story, the demiurge-actresses place an incredible quantity of somewhat wacky objects and accessories on the table. They transform in turn into chaotic, impulsive goddesses, storytellers and landscapes. The aesthetic lies at the meeting point between polished realism and unusual kitsch. With great humor and ingenuity, this Belgian show combines mythology, object theater and astronomy. It offers us what matters most: stories with which to think about and dream of the world.
