La Rive

With La Rive, Louise Vignaud continues her work as a writer and director, which we previously discovered at Les Théâtres with the play Nuit d’Octobre. Drawing inspiration from ancient tragedy, La Rive plunges us into the struggle waged by four women confronted with exile and war. Through the story of these broken destinies, theater becomes a mirror of a world in upheaval and of a war that abolishes every border—geographical, political and intimate. In a dialogue between ancient tragedy and the contemporary world, the play gives women and victims a voice that History has always sought to make invisible. In this choral theater piece, Louise Vignaud promises us a radiant and powerful performance.
