Monsieur Pierre finds a five-franc coin in the street. “Great! I'm rich! I'll be able to buy myself a house!” he exclaims, and he runs to the notary, who sells him a strange villa for this modest and cursed sum. Monsieur Pierre is delighted! His house is splendid! But his neighbors slam the door in his face! So he goes back to the notary to ask for an explanation. The sly old man admits that the house is haunted by a witch who lives in the broom closet. If he makes the mistake of singing: “Witch, witch, watch your behind, the witch will come out and carry it away forever.” Twists and suspense follow. Will Monsieur Pierre remain master of his own home?
