Les Rendez-vous de la Vie Associative à Marseille

From September 4 to 28, 2026, the City of Marseille is devoting nearly a month to local community life. Neighborhood forums, open-house evenings, participatory workshops and information and advice days are taking place throughout the city, in a variety of accessible venues. This is a unique opportunity to meet the associations that bring Marseille’s neighborhoods to life and get actively involved alongside them. Les Rendez-vous de la Vie Associative: Marseille celebrates its associations in every neighborhood. Stemming from commitments made during the 2025 États généraux de la vie associative, Les Rendez-vous de la Vie Associative are becoming a new highlight of the Marseille back-to-school season. Supported by the municipal authorities, this initiative reflects a firm desire to strengthen ties between the City and local organizations, highlight their daily commitment and work with residents to build the future of the local community network. For nearly a month, Marseille is showcasing the associations that bring its neighborhoods to life. The program opens on Friday, September 4, with a launch evening featuring a panel discussion entitled "Cooperating to transform neighborhoods," held at the Espace muséal Bargemon (6, rue de la Guirlande, 2nd arrondissement) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. An opportunity for discussion and collective reflection, available by registration, to lay the foundations for a month full of encounters. Among the festivals and events in Marseille, this event stands out for its strong connection to residents’ everyday reality. Throughout September, all of Marseille’s arrondissements are involved, making this a resolutely popular and local initiative. In the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region, few municipal initiatives bring together so many different venues and audiences at the same time, from parks to community centers, as well as stadiums and activity centers. The objective is clear: to reach residents as closely as possible, in every area of the city. A full program of forums, workshops and information and advice days. The heart of the program is a series of forums organized by geographic areas, allowing every resident of Marseille to discover the associations in their neighborhood. These events take place in prominent or local venues, from Stade Vallier (4th) to Parc du Grand Séminaire (14th), via Place Général de Gaulle (1st) and Parc de Bagatelle (8th). Each forum offers a dedicated welcome period, generally in the morning or afternoon. Open-house evenings are organized on September 9 and 14 at the Maison des Associations (93, La Canebière, 1st) and at Espace Waldeck-Rousseau. Participatory workshops dedicated to defining the Conseil marseillais de la vie associative take place on September 17 and 23 at the Maison des Associations. Finally, information and advice days are offered on September 7 and 18 to support community project leaders. Most of these highlights are available by registration.
