Since 2020, the Centre Pompidou has organized an annual “Poetry Day” devoted to an outstanding and emblematic figure in poetry. In 2026, the poet Mahmoud Darwish is being honored through a program presented in France and abroad In Marseille, the actoral Festival, the International Center of Poetry (Cipm) and the [mac] Museum of Contemporary Art are joining forces to pay tribute to one of the major voices of contemporary Arab literature.
