Marie Sarah

Marie Sarah is establishing herself as a distinctive voice in French soul. The daughter of a French mother and a Cameroonian father, Marie Sarah is 25 and grew up with the television permanently tuned to music-video channels. At home, it was musical comedy nonstop. The revelation: Dreamgirls, the film about Diana Ross and the Supremes. From then on, the mellow sounds, brass, crooners and raw soul of the 1960s became her passion: Otis Redding, Etta James, Motown, Stax, Chess Records. After studying musical theater at Cours Florent, Marie Sarah was discovered following the release of a cover of Etta James’s “I'd Rather Go Blind.” Since the release of her first EP in April 2024 (+1.4 million streams on Spotify), she has appeared on Taratata, opened for Boyz II Men, Gavin DeGraw and Tower of Power, and accompanied Seal on six Zénith concerts in France.
