David Kadouch and Pierre Génisson present a virtuosic and fiery program. Originally from Marseille, Pierre Génisson is currently one of the most prominent clarinetists. His sensual, colorful playing works wonders in Romantic music. With his instrument, he is as supple as a cat. One might think Prokofiev had him in mind when composing Peter and the Wolf. His first CD for Warner-Erato, devoted to Mozart, won a shower of recording awards. Originally from Nice, David Kadouch studied with Jacques Rouvier at the Paris Conservatoire before pursuing further training with Daniel Barenboim. He is not only a pianist with a subtle style, but also a citizen attentive to the transformations of his era. In The Music of Madame Bovary, he explored forgotten women composers before championing Forbidden Loves. Pierre Génisson, clarinet David Kadouch, piano Program: - Schumann Fantasiestücke for clarinet and piano, Op. 73 - Brahms Sonata for clarinet and piano, Op. 120 No. 2 - Saint-Saëns Sonata for clarinet and piano, Op. 167 - De Falla 7 Spanish Popular Songs
