Survivances

The exhibition "Survivances" explores the discreet yet persistent forms that continue to inhabit the world: material remnants, inherited narratives, transmitted gestures, transformed landscapes, invisible presences and buried memories. The works presented testify to the ability of beings, objects and places to survive the historical, social or intimate upheavals that pass through them. “Survivances” thus aims to offer visitors a sensory experience of memory and permanence. Through diverse artistic approaches, the artists brought together, almost all based in Marseille, represent all disciplines of contemporary visual art in an inclusive and cross-disciplinary dynamic. They invite us to consider what remains when the world changes, what resists oblivion and what continues to connect us to the generations, places and stories that came before us. Opening reception on August 27 at 6 p.m. TENSION Marseille curatorial group (Le Cube hors les murs) Rebecca Brodskis ● Silvio Mildonian ● Jean-Philippe Vigneron
