The show invites the audience to Chicane's surprise birthday party, a marginal character on the run after a gourmet misdemeanor. Accompanied by his accomplice Chacal, he tries to involve the spectators in his distorted reality to tell the story of his loneliness. With humor and empathy, this play explores the power of imagination and the search for a place among others by those who do not fit in. Today is Chicane's surprise birthday party, and you are all invited! Well, we just have to tell you that he is on the run after doing something really bad to get a chocolate cake… But he is coming to tell you all about it with his friend Chacal. Watch out, they are going to try to make you accomplices! With irony, empathy and exuberance, the show addresses the loneliness of a misfit who is searching for his place among others. It is an ode to denials, the stories we tell ourselves and the power of fiction over reality.
