Festival Voix des Suds “In Every Czech Person, a Musician”. For the Festival des voix du Sud, Violons de Prague have secured the services of one of the most talented young sopranos currently performing in the Czech Republic. If “discerning palates,” out of inappropriate snobbery, disdain works that are “too well known,” it must be acknowledged that there is an obvious reason for this: they touch the listener’s soul, delight through their simple, natural beauty, and bring emotion to the fore, touching the heart, as Beethoven wrote as an epigraph to his Missa Solemnis (1823), Op. 123: “Music must come from the heart and go to the heart.” The time spent experiencing and sharing this concert will restore, through its gentle obviousness, all those endlessly buffeted by life’s tumultuous course.
