Visit a privately owned listed Historic Monument in Roucas-Blanc, Marseille. The garden of Villa Santa Lucia features a remarkable collection of nineteenth-century rockwork architecture and decorations (grottoes, waterfall, belvedere, nativity scene...), created in the 1890s by the rockwork artist Gaspard Gardini. Discover it on a self-guided tour on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20 during the European Heritage Days. Open to the public: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Public entrance via the stairs at 8, montée de la Napoule, 13007 Marseille (corner of 60, Traverse Nicolas). Please note that due to the large number of visitors, there may be a wait at the entrance to the Villa. There are many steps in the garden; comfortable shoes are recommended. NB: The rockwork belvedere is not accessible, but can be clearly seen from the lawn. Preferential rate: 5 euros / person.
