The France 98 photo exhibition organized by Why Always Loge is in Marseille from September 11 to 13, 2026 France 98 by Stéphane Meunier — Why Always Loge Nearly 30 years after Les Bleus’ triumph, the France 98 exhibition comes to Marseille from September 11 to 13, 2026, to bring one of the greatest adventures in French football to life from the inside. Through a selection of more than 80 rare and previously unpublished photographs by Stéphane Meunier, director of the cult documentary Les Yeux dans les Bleus, the exhibition takes the public into the private world of the 1998 world champion French team. Changing rooms, buses, hotel rooms, moments of concentration or camaraderie: these images tell the story of the men behind the champions, far from the pitches and official images. The choice of Marseille has particular significance: it was at the Stade Vélodrome that Les Bleus began their 1998 World Cup against South Africa. The Phocaean city also maintains a strong connection with this generation, notably through players who played for OM and Zinédine Zidane, a native of Marseille and an emblematic figure of the team. After Paris in 2025 and Valence in 2026, the exhibition continues its journey with a Marseille stop designed as a tribute to a city that lives and breathes football. The exhibition is free and open to all, from September 11 to 13, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at 52 rue de la République (13002 Marseille); visitors will be able to discover more than 80 photographs of Les Bleus’ 1998 adventure. A screening of the documentary Les Yeux dans les Bleus is also offered at 9 rue Chevalier Roze (13002 Marseille).
