The Alcazar library in Marseille invites the public to take part in designing its future creative studio, which will open in 2027. Four free workshops will be held on Saturdays, October 3 and 10, October 31 and November 7, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Alcazar, Île aux livres. Open to everyone aged 12 and over, with no prerequisites, these sessions will provide an opportunity to collectively shape a space dedicated to photography, podcasting, video and computer-assisted music. The Alcazar de Marseille invites you to imagine its future creative studio It is an unprecedented project proposed by the Alcazar library, located in the heart of Marseille in the emblematic Île aux livres: actively taking part in the design of an entirely new creative studio that will open in 2027. Located in the Bouches-du-Rhône, this leading cultural venue is opening the co-design process to all local residents aged 12 and over, with no technical skills required. Four themed workshops to explore creative uses Each Saturday, a different workshop will explore one aspect of the studio’s future offering. The co-design sessions will feature a variety of approaches to imagining the space from every angle: Saturday, October 3: 3D modeling workshop Saturday, October 10: laser workshop Saturday, October 31: graphic design workshop Saturday, November 7: spatial design workshop Each session takes place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Alcazar, Île aux livres, in Marseille. The future studio will house equipment dedicated to photography, podcasting, video and computer-assisted music. These workshops offer an opportunity to contribute directly to the decisions guiding the design of this space by sharing your ideas, wishes and needs.
