Élégie d'une disparition

_Elegy of a Disappearance_ is a stage performance based on sound dramaturgy. Conceived by three Lebanese artists—Kinda Hassan (composer), Racha Baroud (performer) and Carine Doumit (writer and editor)—this creation explores the notion of disappearance, both at the level of bodies and territories, in the Mediterranean region. Based on field research carried out in Marseille, Cairo and Beirut, the project draws on movement from one territory to another: Lebanon, where catastrophe repeats endlessly; Egypt, a cultural cradle and inexhaustible source of inspiration; and France, the country to which migration takes place. By combining their respective disciplines, the three artists weave a collective narrative shaped by shifts and transformations among the various bodily, sonic, visual and textual fragments collected and produced. _Elegy of a Disappearance_ is rooted in the traces of memory that persist despite the erasures inflicted in these regions. — Co-produced by GMEM and CHRONIQUES — Biennale of Digital Imaginaries
