You have to allow yourself to dream like a child, certain that anything is always possible. The poster depicts Marseille as I was able to imagine it when I was little, looking from the shore at my inaccessible end of the world. I seek to recreate the feeling of a peaceful memory, cradled by gentle melancholy. These images do not seek merely to reproduce places or moments; they explore what memory preserves, what it transforms and what it gently allows to fade, retaining only the best. This is also why I chose the double exposure technique when taking the photographs. The sea then becomes an inner space. It welcomes memories and soothes them. Landmarks sometimes dissolve in reflections and transparencies, as time transforms our memories into sensations through which we reconcile ourselves with the past. This encounter with our inner child brings us back to our own dreams, our absences and our imagination, while inviting us to look at these landscapes today with tenderness. Rêver encore thus seeks to find a point of balance between memory and the present, between melancholy and peace. Returning to what shaped us, welcoming what remains and allowing memories to regain their softness. Rêver encore, ultimately, may mean accepting that certain memories can continue to live while leaving the future free to become anything.
