After writing a thesis on professional seducers of tourists in Peru, Janice decided to continue doing sociology through stand-up comedy. She uses humor to share her thoughts and transform them into flammable comic material. In a show situated between the intimate and the collective, she addresses, autobiographically and with sharp self-deprecation: heterosexuality, social deprivation, rural life and its unspoken issues, the upper bourgeoisie, masculinities, guilt, partying and greenwashing. An engaged show with Groland-esque overtones, yet feminist, where social satire turns into celebration, and humor embraces sociology to bring to life characters rooted in reality who confront power relations head-on.
