A musical theater work in which ancient tragedy resonates with contemporary fractures. Rachida Brakni encounters Medea in a play that gives voice to a mother’s wavering. Born from the meeting between actress Rachida Brakni and director Louise Vignaud, this production addresses a delicate and taboo subject in our societies: infanticide. Médée/s gives voice to a mother’s wavering, between social expectations, loneliness and the desire to disappear. Her words meet those of Euripides and confront contemporary words inspired by Sofia Fischer’s documentary, Mothers for Life. To give voice to the unspeakable, Louise Vignaud has surrounded herself with cellist and sound artist Orane Duclos and illustrator Irène Vignaud, who will together create a sensory and polymorphous stage design. A disturbing, thought-provoking and deeply moving piece, embodied by a free and committed actress.
