Mister Freeze

Graffiti and street art exhibition, food courts, markets, DJ sets and activities. L’Aérosol is delighted to invite the Mister Freeze festival for its opening. Since 2013, the association has shaken up urban art through exhibitions, performances and collective projects, always in unusual venues. Each of their events is eagerly awaited and often extended beyond the planned dates—a sign of their success. Mister Freeze’s expertise—and their strength—is bringing together emblematic graffiti and street artists. Mister Freeze knows how to showcase both pioneers and emerging talents while giving pride of place to artists from the region. Mister Freeze is moving to Marseille, working in partnership with two Marseille artists, Nyota and Braga. For this major first event, L’Aérosol is making more than 1,500 m² of walls available to them for artistic expression. An immersive exhibition to be experienced, constantly evolving and requiring repeat visits. . . Located in the 15th arrondissement, a few hundred meters from Bougainville metro station, the former La Tulipe soap factory, closed since 1987, is being transformed to make way for L’Aérosol at La Tulipe. While the industrial building is an iconic part of the city’s heritage, there is no doubt that its new identity resonates with a more recent chapter in Marseille’s history. Street art and hip-hop culture finally have a home: L’Aérosol is establishing itself as the new space for those who make the Marseille scene come alive. Murals, installations, performances and music: L’Aérosol at La Tulipe offers a living, resolutely popular museum experience. Although the opening is imminent, this is only its first phase. Ultimately, no fewer than 5,500 m² will soon be open to the public.
