Régate Vire Vire BPMED 2026

Attention sailing enthusiasts: you will be able to admire the gathering from the Palais du Pharo or the Corniche. Organized by the Société Nautique de Marseille since 1948, the Vire Vire Banque Populaire Méditerranée will bring together nearly 150 cruising sailboats in the harbor of Marseille. The race will begin off Prophète Beach, with sailors competing on a 13-nautical-mile coastal course passing the buoys at Cap Pinède, Pomègues and La Madrague before returning to the starting point beneath the Corniche Kennedy. The name Vire Vire comes from this course, which resembles a fairground ride between Marseille’s southern and northern harbors.
