Victorine heritage can be presented in a very scholarly way, through guided tours or lectures, but also in a playful way, through play and emotion, or even through the heart… This is the aim of the show “If Victor Were Told to Me”: to retrace Saint-Victor’s first thousand years by recovering the memory of the site through unusual and often providential encounters. During the theatrical tour, visitors will follow, step by step, two monks whose precious relics have been lost (or stolen?), in this space-time of a Mediterranean open to dialogue between cultures and religions. An original show written by Claire Reggio, conceived and directed by Frank Getreau of the L’Informel company. Through tales and chivalric legends, Gregorian and lyrical chants, dances, and ghostly apparitions, the show recounts fifteen centuries of Mediterranean history and reveals the basilica’s treasures. 1.5-hour roving performance through the basilica Booking required – Limited capacity
