Juan Fernández returns to Centre Solea for the opening of the season! Centre Solea is delighted to open its 2026–2027 season with an artist we love, whose rich career is deeply rooted in the world of flamenco: Juan Fernández. Born in Cádiz, Juan Fernández began dancing at the age of 10 in El Puerto de Santa María, before continuing his training between Jerez de la Frontera and Seville with leading flamenco figures such as Antonio El Pipa, Leonor Leal, Manolo Marín, Eva Yerbabuena, Andrés Peña and Adela Campallo. His training, also enriched by classical, Spanish and modern dance, contributes to the richness of his artistic language and his approach to the stage. Having received several awards during his career, including First Prize in the La Perla de Cádiz competition, Juan Fernández has performed on numerous stages and at international festivals. His career has also taken him across Europe, the United States, Canada and Japan, as part of various shows and artistic projects. Now based in Seville, he continues his creative work and notably presents his show De Los Puertos at several major Spanish tablaos, while sharing his art through classes and workshops organized in many countries.
