**US, Witch & Wild** ---------------------------- ### **September 16, 2026 - March 13, 2027** **Exhibition – Tours - Workshops - Guided activities - Cultural program** A wonderful exhibition\* at the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Library: 130 works (drawing, photography, painting, illustration, sculpture, films, video creation…) \*Exhibition awarded the Bicentenary of Photography label by the Ministry of Culture as part of the national celebration of 200 years of photography. The wild man and the witch are two major figures of the universal imagination that art, literature and cinema have continually revisited, following parallel paths. Both appear in the great myths and share the forest as their common birthplace. Through transformation after transformation, they have inspired fears and fantasies, fascination and repulsion throughout history. In their own ways, they are symbols—and victims—of the old opposition between culture and nature that still shapes our relationship with the world today. In the manner of fairy tales or medieval literature, the exhibition US, Witch & Wild invites you to cross the edge of the woods, that moment of transition into the marvelous, and venture into the forest to encounter these two mysterious creatures. Within an immersive and enchanting journey, scattered with contemporary works, stories and historical archives, **10 artists** explore the various representations of the witch and the wild man through **more than 130 works**.
