6 + (1+1+1) / Morellet mis à neuf

The [mac] musée d’art contemporain de Marseille is joining the national project celebrating the centenary of François Morellet’s birth, with an unprecedented monographic display within its permanent collection.

This event provides an opportunity to present, for the first time, all six works by the artist held in the collections of Marseille’s museums, including the first work acquired as early as 1971. Loans from Studio Morellet, Frac Sud - Cité de l’art contemporain and Fonds M-Arco complete the presentation, creating an opportunity for dialogue between the territory’s private and public collections and attesting to François Morellet’s roots and presence in Marseille.
