Peace, love & dancefloor. On 23 October, Baker Party takes us back to the summer of ’69 and sets up its decks at L'Huilerie for a chic take on Woodstock.

THE VENUE

Behind a carriage entrance on boulevard Notre-Dame, a stone’s throw from the Old Port, lies a former 19th-century Marseille olive oil mill, now one of the city’s most distinctive spots. Exposed stone, industrial glass roofs, colorful murals, a large courtyard and adjoining rooms: an industrial-ruin setting with a “ruin bar” feel, where you can move from one atmosphere to another with a drink in hand, like at a hidden festival in the heart of the city. The dream playground for a flower-power party.

THE MUSIC

On the decks, DNA: sun-soaked house, disco, funk and groovy edits of 60's and 70's classics. The rock-psychedelic and soul spirit of Woodstock, made for the dancefloor. And to turn up the heat, a surprise guest whose identity we’ll keep secret until the day itself.

DRESS CODE

Vintage chic. Bring out your best 60's and 70's pieces: velvet suits, wide-collar shirts, long dresses, satin, suede, fringe, silk scarves and tinted glasses. The Woodstock spirit, with extra elegance. Go all out.
