Bal des séniors
Every year, the City of Marseille organizes free dances open to all women and men of Marseille aged over 60.
About this event
The Seniors' Dance returns in 2026!
These dances are a great success and have become a much-anticipated free event for our older residents.
Free events for dancers aged 60 and over, whether beginners or not!
To the rhythm of salsa, rock, Madison and paso doble, the seniors' dances are open free of charge to all women and men of Marseille aged over 60, whether experienced dancers or beginners.
These friendly dancing afternoons reflect the City of Marseille’s desire to promote “better living together” by encouraging independence and intergenerational exchange and combating the isolation of older people. Through these cultural and festive events, Marseille encourages seniors’ involvement in social life and the creation of lasting connections.
Last year, no fewer than 3,000 seniors took part in these dancing events—true highlights of sharing, dancing and joie de vivre.
For the 2026 season, dances are offered both indoors and outdoors to ensure a pleasant and varied setting.
