From Les Ballets de l’Étoile in Paris in 1955 to the creation of Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 1987, Maurice Béjart left an indelible mark on the world of dance.
Since its creation, Béjart Ballet Lausanne has established itself as an international benchmark in dance. Heir to Maurice Béjart’s innovative spirit, the BBL continues its story today under the artistic direction of Julien Favreau.
To celebrate the centenary of the visionary choreographer’s birth and the 40th anniversary of his company, the Opéra de Marseille welcomes the prestigious ballet, with three of his major choreographies on the program.
