Blossom
A show at the crossroads of a concert, a dance party and a choir.
About this event
With a joyful ensemble piece blending amateur and professional performers, Sandrine Lescourant evokes the sense of belonging that arises when we sing and dance together. Blossom is a sonic and choreographic journey that makes us want to reconnect with others and with ourselves.
The Marseille choreographer, also known as Mufasa, draws inspiration from the synergy of bodies in motion and voices joining together at concerts or football matches, from all those shared moments that, beyond the event itself, are unique ways of coming together and celebrating. This special sense of belonging vibrates in response to an innate human quest. Blossom invites us to flourish together through a collective journey combining dance, music and voices, with a warm final dance party open to the public. The show also offers an engaged reflection on social bonds and the political expression of African-American cultures. Created in contact with participants from different worlds (dance studios, hospitals, prisons…) through numerous workshops, Blossom offers a human dimension and a form of heritage to share.
