Anar Von Amour was born at Boardwalk Factory under the watchful eye of Coney Bow. After earning a degree in art history, a university diploma in art therapy, and training in dance and yoga, I discovered burlesque. This art felt like an obvious fit for me; both therapeutic and creative, it allows everyone to reveal themselves, to themselves and to the world.

With easier access to the stage, burlesque artists have the opportunity to bare themselves, physically and symbolically. This gives the practice a cathartic dimension, allowing everyone to assert themselves and build self-confidence.
Through individual or team work and interaction with others (the audience), burlesque artists have the opportunity to take up space and express what is inside them, while respecting the diversity of everyone's bodies, genders, social backgrounds, sexualities, origins and skin colors.
