Chacun Pour Soi

In an improv match, you can always hide behind your team. Not here. Two performers, alone, facing each other. A referee to start each round, set the constraints and oversee the duel. And you in the audience decide after each round which of the two wins. What makes the evening compelling is that they never leave the game. No backstage, no breaks, no stepping offstage to catch their breath: they remain onstage from beginning to end, watching each other, setting traps and keeping the momentum going. Each round forces them to come up with something they haven’t shown yet—a style, a character, a bold move—because repeating what has already worked means losing. And as the evening goes on, they get to know each other better. They anticipate, adapt and raise the stakes. The final rounds are never like the first ones. Only one will leave victorious. The other will return for a rematch.
