About this event
Join us at Le Gyptis on Friday, November 6! Directed by Fanny Paloma, this independent documentary gives a voice to the Bunong Indigenous people in Asia, the Bagyeli communities in Africa, and many rural families trapped in a global extractive system. Through their voices, songs, forests and struggles, the film sheds light on the realities of land grabbing. Pilleurs de Terre tells a universal story: that of peoples who refuse to be erased and remind us that defending the land means defending life. The screening will be followed by a discussion and then a complimentary organic, locally sourced buffet provided by Biocoop La Joliette and Grand Littoral, prepared by local residents and social centers. An evening organized with Biocoop, CoMAC-SSA, Terre de Liens PACA and Vrac Marseille, as part of the Alimenterre festival.
