CineHorizontes — Soirée d'ouverture

CineHorizontes opens its 25th edition at Artplexe Canebière with Los Justos, a Spanish comedy starring Carmen Machi: nine jurors, a verdict to deliver, and one million euros to change their minds. Followed by a surprise performance.

On October 8, CineHorizontes opens its 25th edition. For twenty-five years, a team of enthusiasts has been introducing Marseille audiences to the best of contemporary Spanish cinema.

8:00 p.m. — LOS JUSTOS / LES JURÉS, by Jorge A. Lara and Fer Pérez. Spain, 2026, 1 hr 29 min, French-subtitled original version. Nine members of a popular jury deliberate behind closed doors on a corruption case. The evidence is irrefutable, public opinion has made up its mind, and no one seems to have any doubts. Until a secret offer reaches them: one million euros each if they change their vote from “guilty” to “not guilty.” But unanimity will be required — and each of them will have to reveal what truly keeps them going.

A biting comedy starring Carmen Machi, Vito Sanz, Pilar Castro, Marcelo Subiotto, Ane Gabarain, and Bruna Cusí. The first feature film co-directed by two screenwriters from Spanish television.

The screening is followed by a surprise performance.

This evening opens the 25th edition of CineHorizontes, the Marseille Spanish Film Festival, running from October 8 to 17, 2026: around fifty films in subtitled original versions, premieres and previews, at twenty cinemas in Marseille and the surrounding South region. The anniversary edition features a focus on Spanish youth from the 1960s to the present day, a fiction jury chaired by Paul B. Preciado, and the national premiere of La Bola Negra.
