Campus sciences & innovation 2026 - Behind the scenes of research On the occasion of the Fête de la science, the CNRS Joseph Aiguier campus in Marseille will open its doors to the public on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. for an immersive experience at the heart of research. Laboratory tours, demonstration workshops, discovery of careers and exploration of gender equality issues: an afternoon to discover science in a different way. The CNRS Joseph Aiguier campus brings together several leading laboratories and research and innovation facilities in a variety of fields, from life sciences to digital sciences and technologies, as well as the administrative services of the CNRS Provence and Corsica regional delegation. On the occasion of the Fête de la science, the site will open its doors to give the general public a chance to discover what is invented, observed and developed there every day. An invitation to discover scientific research from the inside, in direct exchange with the people who carry it out. PROGRAM Guided laboratory tours and interactive experiments: All 6 tours are open to children aged 7 and over, accompanied by an adult. Each tour lasts one hour. A departure for one of the tours is offered every 10 minutes, with the last departure at 5:00 p.m. Registration takes place directly on site. From proteins to organisms, explore different scales of the biological world.MICROBES UNDER THE MICROSCOPEInvisible to the naked eye, bacteria are everywhere! Observe their different forms, how they move, and test different antibiotics. But don’t attack them all—some are your allies. MICROALGAE: SMALL IN SIZE, GREAT CHALLENGES*Come and learn how these remarkable organisms, essential to marine life, inspire research addressing energy and environmental challenges.BACTERIA: FRIENDS OR FOES?*At the heart of the microbial world alongside the scientists who are decoding it.MUSHROOMS, INNOVATIONS IN THE MAKINGMaterials, health, the environment… Mushrooms inspire remarkable solutions. Explore the potential of these fascinating organisms.PERCEPTIONS AND SENSATIONS*Immerse yourself in research where innovation takes shape at the intersection of science, sound, vibration and images.* Workshop not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
