Concert Georges Brassens par Dominique Lamour et ses musiciens

Dominique Lamour brings more than 25 songs by the mustached man back to life. “Brassens said it himself: he wasn’t entirely free in his movements when performing his songs,” Dominique explains. “On his stool, he was somewhat imprisoned by his guitar”… From then on, with three musicians by his side, Dominique takes advantage of the stage “to give full scope to the gestures and interpretation of the lyrics.” These lyrics thus take on a new stage dimension, regaining the colors of the freshness of their early days. You might even think you were hearing them for the first time. Nevertheless, Dominique is keen to “respect the essence of the lyrics composed by Brassens.” “We revisit the songs while respecting the original work, without making major arrangements, unlike what has been done recently.” A theatrical and unusual show filled with emotion, which humorously dusts off Georges Brassens’s magic lamp, and this good genie treats us to an authentic, undiminished moment.
