Tangible 2026 - Design en résidence : Gregory Granados
This event has ended. It belongs to an archived festival programme.
About this event
“Design en résidence” is a lecture and round-table format co-organized by the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Marseille (ensa•m) and the Centre international de recherche sur le verre et les arts plastiques (Cirva). Hosted at ensa•m, these discussions give designers a voice and shed light on the processes of experimentation and research carried out in the Cirva workshop and beyond.
For the 2026 edition of the festival, ensa•m and Cirva invite Gregory Granados, a designer based in Marseille. In 2019, Gregory Granados won the jury’s Grand Prix at the Design Parade object design competition, organized by villa Noailles, and was a resident at Cirva between 2019 and 2021.
There, he imagined a series of “houses for a plant.” Each form is designed for a stage in the plant’s life, from seed sprouting to its first leaves. To create these vase-habitats, Gregory Granados draws on a rhythm of three verbs: harvest, fragment, assemble.
The round table, bringing together Gregory Granados, Stanislas Colodiet and Anne-Valérie Gasc, will provide an opportunity to revisit the development of this research and its ramifications with earlier and more recent projects.
