Tangible 2026 - Design & participation
About this event
The yakafokon collective invites three designers to share their experiences of collaborative practices that make design a tool for meeting, experimentation and shaping shared spaces.
How can we design with the public? How can design become a space for mediation, dialogue and collective transformation? What forms of participation can bring out new uses and narratives around shared spaces?
Through their field experience in a variety of contexts—public spaces, educational and cultural facilities, and places of everyday life—Isis Truphème, Jonathan Roditi (pleines formes), Adeline Vieira (Terrains Vagues) and Victor Toutain (yakafokon collective) will share their approaches and question the role of design as a situated practice attentive to uses, knowledge and collective dynamics.
The discussion will open a dialogue on the conditions, challenges and limits of participation in design projects, as well as on the ways design can support forms of cooperation, appropriation and transformation of places.
