Ecrire un mini-récit graphique
About this event
• Mondays, January 11, 18, and 25, from 18:30 to 21:00 at the Maison des Associations - Three writing workshops led by Anaële Hermans, author of graphic novels and comics for young readers. - Workshops to discover a distinctive way of telling stories. Although the question of text within a space will come up, this is first and foremost a writing workshop!
1- Characters and dialogue
Using Zidrou Merveille’s book "Amore" as a starting point, we’ll consider what makes good characters and effective dialogue. This session will help us bring our characters to life and make them speak in ways that reflect their personalities.
2- Breaking down a comic
After reading short comic excerpts, we’ll take the scene we have already written and divide the story into panels and pages. This session helps us visualize the text differently and place the elements in the best positions on the page.
3- Captions and voice-overs
After reading comic excerpts, we’ll write a scene that includes captions and voice-overs.
Organization: La plume et l'image
From one-off workshops to support with long-form writing, you’ll find an option among our offerings that suits you.
The workshops are open to everyone, beginners and experienced writers alike, to discover the pleasure of writing and sharing, and to explore different kinds of texts and themes.
What makes us distinctive:
• All our creative writing workshops are led by trained, experienced facilitators who hold the DU “Formation à l’animation d’ateliers d’écriture” from Aix-Marseille Université, or by authors and artists with strong facilitation experience;
• Writers and facilitators, who are members of our Board of Directors, set our aims, programs, activities, and rates. Since 2010, we have organized more than a thousand workshops in Marseille;
• Hundreds of texts written in workshops have been published on our blogs, which our members can access;
• Every year, members enroll in the training program at the University, and some go on to join the facilitation team.
