Dos Mares is developing, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Peru and the photography festival of northern Peru _Ver/Voir_, a research residency and photographic exhibition program focused on the Peruvian scene. In June and July 2026, we are welcoming Peruvian artist Lucio Mora for a research-and-creation residency. This residency will result in an exhibition presented in France until the end of September, then included in the Ver/Voir Festival program in Peru in October and November 2026. In 2027, a second artist will be welcomed for a residency in June and July, and an exhibition will be created based on their immersion in France. The collaboration with the Ver/Voir festival has existed since its creation in 2023 between the cities of Trujillo, Piura, Chiclayo and Marseille. --- Lucio Mora’s practice explores the relationships between memory, territory and image, observing how historical, social and cultural processes leave their traces in the landscape and in everyday life. He works primarily through documentary photography, visual research and the use of archives, addressing issues related to urban transformation, migration, the construction of identities and the various ways in which communities inhabit their environment. His work is rooted in the city of Trujillo, understood as a space where multiple temporalities, conflicts and ways of living in tension converge. Lucio Mora (1984, Guadalupe, La Libertad, Peru) is a visual artist who graduated from the « Macedonio de la Torre » Higher School of Fine Arts in Trujillo (2009). He has taken part in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Peru and internationally. He is the winner of the French Embassy Prize at the 2025 Ver/Voir Photography Competition.
