This visual concert takes stock of the image we have of ourselves and the one we project. The songs invite us to step out of line and free ourselves from conventions. This concert creates a language at the crossroads of visual theatre, contemporary music and song. The four performers question our images, the way we dress and the way we present ourselves. Through beautifully crafted lyrics, the songs invite us to play with dress codes, making them our own and reinventing them. In Pyjamas, Suit, Feathers, Finally Naked, In My Wardrobe are some of the titles written by Tony Melvil and Thibaud Defever. Here, the drums are played standing up, the guitar in pyjamas and poetry is sung on the violin. A true living tableau, the costumes play equally with simplicity and exuberance. The set itself also refuses to stay still. In perpetual evolution, it accompanies, with pop energy, questions about ourselves, who we are, what we show and what we dare not show. This concert speaks to the freedom of revealing our true personality behind… appearances.
