About this event

No image is innocent.

Every image is a frame, and every frame is a political decision. To show is to include. To cut is to exclude. To archive is to establish a hierarchy. To circulate is to authorize existence.

The works gathered here open up a space for poetry and critical reflection. They invite us to recognize, behind every image, an irreducible human and political presence. They seek to reveal what the official narrative leaves out of frame.

Faced with the Newspeak of images, the artists question how they are produced, twist the flows, reactivate silenced archives, re-stage invisible scenes, and give flesh to erased names.

Here, naming, renaming, recounting, parodying, and re-staging are all acts of active mutiny. They keep alive stories that others would like to see disappear.

What we see looks back at us.
