Exposition Vado è vengo
An exhibition bringing together painter Alba Penza and photographer Caroline Féraud in an artistic dialogue between Marseille and Naples.
About this event
Through an installation combining painted fabrics and photographs, the two artists explore the links between material, landscape and memory, celebrating the Mediterranean as a space for movement, encounters and exchange.
An artistic dialogue between Marseille and Naples “Vado è vengo,” meaning “I go and I come,” is an artistic project born from the connection between two Mediterranean port cities: Marseille and Naples.
Alba Penza’s colorful canvases are placed within Marseille landscapes photographed by Caroline Féraud. Hung, laid down or floating, they become living presences at the heart of the port, the rocks and the light of L'Estaque.
Each photograph places the fabric in context, transforming the material into a story, movement and memory. The encounter between the painter’s color and gesture and the photographer’s gaze gives rise to a distinctive visual narrative.
An installation inspired by the Mediterranean world The exhibition also features a display arrangement inspired by Mediterranean domestic life, evoking, in particular, living spaces in Bacoli, near Naples.
The textile works hang like laundry drying in the sun, recalling familiar places where clothing, objects and materials bear witness to the passage and presence of their inhabitants.
The photographs extend this atmosphere by adding another dimension: that of looking, memory and documentation.
Between indoors and outdoors, stillness and movement, “Vado è vengo” invites visitors to discover a living Mediterranean, shaped by stories, exchanges and memories.
