Fiat Lux "La lumière est sur le monde"

The theme chosen for this year’s Christmas exhibition is LIGHT, presented through a collection of lamps and night-lights whose religious and cultural characteristics highlight the universality of spirituality.

The Nativity, together with Easter, to which it is inextricably linked for all Christians (Eastern and Roman), takes an extraordinary form in popular traditions that remain very much alive according to the regions concerned: nativity-making, santons, the Christmas tree, the holly wreath, the germination of Saint Barbara’s wheat or the Garden of Adonis, the Star (of the Magi), the oil lamp, Father Christmas and his abundance of gifts for everyone… Private collection Every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the crypts (crypt access €3)
