Florence Mendez Délicate

An adorable neurotic whose big mouth barely conceals a genuine delicacy.

“We never tell stupid people often enough that they’re stupid,” Florence Mendez would say. In a sharp and exhilarating stand-up performance, this strong-minded yet ultra-sensitive woman looks back on her obstacle-strewn journey.

With the acidic wit and quick mind that characterize her, she tells us her story—that of a young woman whom rejection of difference and mental illness failed to stop.

Astonishing, touching and out of step, Florence Mendez takes pleasure in tearing down norms and human stupidity with fierce but always funny punchlines.

Did you know? Florence Mendez already has an impressive list of achievements. She has won several comedy competitions, including the prestigious Voo Rire Festival in Liège. She also made her mark in Montreux, which subsequently enabled her to work as a columnist on the Teva channel’s talk show Piquantes!, hosted by Nicole Ferroni.
