« Je passe des frontières » Alain Andrade / Exhibition from October 5 – October 31, 2026

I seek to see. Photography helps me see. I cross borders; I do nothing but seek life. It is difficult, an attempt to reach vision. Dead days, living days. It is so strange, this need to let the unknown rise up.

This light that we sometimes reach (my photographs are not born of habit or a recipe), a vital need to let myself be carried by what comes from the unknown within me, a vital need to give an image, life swallowed up in the search for tension, transparency, sensation.

Striving to reach it means allowing the unconscious to reveal its secrets. Abrupt words. Say nothing, explain nothing. Be an eye, a blind eye that continues to see, that sees what blinds it.

My photography cannot make use of words; my only way forward is to be a visionary.
