The Calanques in Stories

For its 7th edition, L’Automne des Calanques invites you to travel through time and immerse yourself in the story of the Calanques. On the occasion of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists, the Calanques National Park is highlighting the resources of the Calanques and their history.

This 2026 edition will explore our relationship with time and nature. Following in the footsteps of the past, discover how the exploitation of resources has affected the Calanques, as well as how ancient agricultural practices can inspire us to improve the resilience of the area. Highlights

At the heart of a rich programme, the Calanques National Park has selected a series of events not to be missed!

Main highlights:

Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, open days at the National Park House: come and discover the new venue dedicated to exploring the Calanques area, on the heights of La Ciotat. Various walks and activities will be offered on this occasion. A food truck will be on hand to delight young and old alike. Wednesday, October 7, screening of the documentary "Coincés ? Coup de chaud dans les Calanques" at Cosquer Méditerranée: step into the shoes of emblematic species in the era of climate change. In the presence of its director Sacha Bollé and rapper and storyteller Faf La Rage. Thursday, October 22, major conference "Récits insolites des Calanques": with Judith Aziza, historian, Luc Vanrell, archaeologist, and Magali Veyrat, project officer at the Calanques National Park.
