Can you hear that noise in the distance? That noise is Bruit Qui Court! Come along with us on its wild run! We’ll set off at 8:30 p.m. from the Théâtre du Strapontin, then travel through the most extraordinary worlds, where anything can happen! We’ve been roaming the lands of improvisation for many years. The audience points us in a direction through its prompts, then the winds of the moment carry us away! Join us for these moments when the unexpected, the surprise, the unpredictable—in short, life—takes over!

La Compagnie Formidable runs the STRAPONTIN theater in Marseille.
La Compagnie Formidable is a laboratory for new forms of stage writing, drawing its raw material from observing life as it unfolds. We develop dramaturgy based on our investigations, immersion and research into the fabric of the world, and on collaborations with writers whose work we find exhilarating and relevant. With a strong interest in documentary arts, our team of researchers visits cafés, schoolyards and villages, then records on paper and on stage the poems it gathers there.
La Compagnie Formidable embraces the legacy of the great popular movements of the 20th century. We do not want coded theater that isolates the audience and leaves them with the unpleasant feeling that they lack the key to understanding it.
La Compagnie Formidable is a collaboration of resolutely optimistic artists who refuse to give in to the prevailing gloom. We embrace an all-encompassing humanism and, in that sense, La Compagnie Formidable is a necessity.
